The product
TFM Manufacturing is inventory and production software for businesses that make what they sell. It tracks your raw materials, bills of materials (BOMs), production builds and finished stock, takes orders from your website through an API, so your workshop and your website agree. Posting the accounting to QuickBooks Online is coming soon to the Growth plan.
Small and midsize manufacturers: carpenters, cabinet and furniture makers, custom woodworking shops, luthiers and guitar builders, metal fabrication and welding shops, electronics, PCB and guitar pedal builders, leather workshops, and any maker who turns materials into products. Starter suits shops of up to 5 people; Growth suits up to 10 people who also want webhooks, integration monitoring and advanced reports.
Yes. The free demo runs entirely in your browser with sample data: add materials, set up a bill of materials, start and complete builds, and watch stock and costs update. Nothing is sent to us and there is no sign-up. Your demo data stays in that browser until you reset it.
Each product variant has a bill of materials listing the materials one unit uses. When a build starts, TFM Manufacturing takes a snapshot of the BOM and each material's current cost, so later price changes don't rewrite history. Finished goods carry a weighted average cost, which is what leaves inventory when you ship. Costs are materials only.
Prototypes and experiments. An R&D build uses materials like any other build, but the cost is treated as research and development spending, not inventory, and nothing is added to stock. If a prototype turns out good enough to sell, you can move some or all of its units into inventory later.
Yes. Ship an order in as many shipments as you like, each with its own carrier and tracking number. Refund any mix of unshipped units, shipped units or money only, and put returned goods back into stock. Order status updates itself from what's been built, shipped and refunded.
Yes. Reports download as CSV, and your data is yours. If you cancel, you can still sign in and export everything.
Your website and QuickBooks
Through our REST API. Your site can read live stock status for each product (in stock, made to order with your lead time, or out of stock), send in orders when customers check out, and read order status and tracking. On the Growth plan, webhooks tell your site the moment stock or an order changes. The Developers page has the full reference.
Any site that can make an HTTPS request: custom sites, headless storefronts, and platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce or Squarespace through their custom code or app options. There is no plugin to install; a developer can connect a typical site in an afternoon using the examples on the Developers page.
No. Starter works on its own. Growth will add the QuickBooks Online integration (coming soon, at no extra cost for Growth customers): builds, shipments, payments and refunds become journal entries, invoices, payments and refund receipts in QuickBooks automatically, including raw materials to work-in-progress to finished goods.
QuickBooks Online is coming soon. More accounting platforms may follow; tell us which one you use.
Plans and billing
Starter is $50 a month for up to 5 users. Growth is $299 a month for up to 10 users and includes production costing, QuickBooks Online (coming soon), webhooks and advanced reports. Pay yearly upfront and save 8%. Custom plans are priced after a call about what you need.
For businesses that need more than a standard plan: features and workflows designed around how you work, integrations with other accounting, e-commerce or business systems, custom reports, more users, and help moving your data in. Email us through the contact page to schedule a call; we'll talk through what you need and agree the design and price together.
Monthly plans can be cancelled anytime from the Billing page; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Yearly plans are paid upfront for the year.
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade from the Billing page. Changes are prorated by Stripe, which handles all payments.
Anyone you invite to your workspace, whatever their role. Pending invitations count toward the limit until they expire.
Security
Every company's data is kept separate by rules enforced in the database itself, not just in the app, and we test that isolation automatically. Connections are encrypted, API keys are stored only as secure hashes, and every change is recorded in an audit log with who made it.
Yes. Each person has a role: owners and admins manage the team, billing and integrations; members do the day-to-day work; viewers can look but not change anything. Admins can require everyone in the workspace to use two-step sign-in.
Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
