Terms of Service
Last updated October 21, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Twelfth Fret Music Co. LLC ("we", "us"), the maker of TFM Manufacturing (the "Service"). By creating an account, starting a subscription or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for a business, you agree on its behalf and confirm you have the authority to do so.
1. Accounts and workspaces
You need an account to use the paid Service. Give accurate information and keep your password and two-step sign-in device safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Your company's data lives in a workspace. The workspace owner decides who joins and what role each person has (owner, admin, member or viewer), and is responsible for the people they invite. Each plan has a user limit; pending invitations count toward it until they expire.
2. Your data
Everything you put into your workspace (materials, products, bills of materials, builds, orders, customers and reports) belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the Service for you, keep it secure, and provide support.
You can export your data at any time, including after you cancel. You are responsible for having the right to the data you add, including any personal information about your own customers.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or anyone else's rights while using the Service;
- try to access another company's workspace or data, or get around security, roles, plan limits or rate limits;
- probe, scan or load-test the Service without our written permission;
- upload malware or use the Service to send spam;
- resell or copy the Service, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows.
4. Plans, billing and cancellation
Paid plans are subscriptions billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe. Yearly plans are paid upfront at a discount. If the Growth plan's accounting integration has a one-time setup fee, it is shown before you pay and charged with the first Growth invoice. Custom plans are priced in a separate written agreement.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the Billing page; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Plan changes are prorated by Stripe. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are not refundable, including for unused parts of a yearly plan.
If a payment fails and isn't fixed within 14 days, or a subscription ends, the workspace becomes read-only: you can still sign in and export your data, but not make changes. Prices may change; we will tell you at least 30 days before a change affects your next renewal. Prices do not include taxes, which are added where required.
5. The API, webhooks and integrations
API keys belong to your workspace. Keep them secret, revoke any that may have leaked, and stay within the published rate limits. You are responsible for requests made with your keys and for the websites and systems you connect.
The QuickBooks Online integration connects to Intuit, a separate company with its own terms. We are not responsible for Intuit's service or for changes your accountant or others make in QuickBooks. Review the entries the integration creates; it supports your bookkeeping but is not accounting or tax advice.
6. The free demo
The demo runs entirely in your browser with sample data and is provided as-is for evaluation. Anything you enter stays in your browser and can be lost when you clear it.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available, secure and backed up, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve or change features. If we remove a feature that a paid plan clearly lists, we will tell you in advance.
8. Our property
The Service, its software, design and brand belong to Twelfth Fret Music Co. LLC. A subscription gives you the right to use the Service during your plan; it does not transfer ownership. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Except as stated in these Terms, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Inventory values, costs, margins and reports are calculated from the data you enter; check them before relying on them for financial, tax or legal decisions.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Twelfth Fret Music Co. LLC from claims arising from your data, your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, or the websites and systems you connect to it.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts the Service or other customers at risk, or is unpaid, and will give notice where reasonable. After an account closes we may delete its data, following the Privacy Policy, so export anything you need first.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we will tell account owners by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
